Blogosphere Short Essay
I first began my personal blog as a political blog writing about George W. Bush's last days and Obama's historic bid. I intended for the blog to stay political throughout the semester and to only write about current political issues. I continued on the political theme for the next two blog posts speaking of Immigration in the United States then on the Obama-Limbaugh Stimulus Package of 2009. These were very fun and interesting posts for me. I love talking about political issues that I believe strongly in. The spanish issue is a very annoying one for me in fact. I still don't understand why English isn't our official language and why we are supposed to learn spanish instead of them learning English. The second was of Rush Limbaugh's proposed stimulus package to President Obama. I found this very funny on Rush's part, but also a very good plan whether it be a joke or not. I am a strong Republican so whatever comes out of Rush Limbaugh's mouth is either very funny or inspiring to me. Then unfortunately after these three political post I had gotten away from the theme. I began to talk of less serious issues and extra-curricular activities that I had coming up in my life. I began to write blogs on things such as Spring Break, March Madness, baseball, and Easter. These were all exciting things to me that I felt I should write about even though I was going off theme. I still believe, however, that my best post was my very first bidding farewell to President George W. Bush. I really vented my thoughts on the topic and the President. I stuck up for his eight years in office and tried to show people that he wasn't an overall bad President at all. I liked doing the blogs all semester too. It was a fun way to write down what was on my mind once a week. It could even serve as a venting station for some people, but no matter how people used it it was still a great experience and assignment to do all semester.
