Obama-Limbaugh Stimulus Package 2009
There has been a lot of talk in Washington the past couple weeks of a $900 billion stimulus package President Obama is proposing. Many argue this isn't the way to solve the current recession the United State's is in. The bill is too partisan and might not even help the American people much while at the same time putting us even more in debt. However one of my personal favorite conservatives, Rush Limbaugh, has proposed a BIPARTISAN stimulus package that happens to be very moderate. This package in a nut shell would cut taxes, as the Republicans want, and spend more, as Obama would like. I don't believe this is a Democrat-Republican issue anymore. We need to try and come together, as Limbaugh has proposed, and forget the partisan attitude during these tough times. I encourage you to check out the stimulus plan. Just go to www.rushlimbaugh.com.

Why am I taking spanish again...?
I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut on this issue. I am currently sitting in my Spanish 201 class wondering why the hell am I here. I happen to be a political science major following the Pre-Law course with intentions to get into Law school. I have a passion for politics and law and love every second I'm hearing and learning about it. But...I am in Spanish 201...yes, Spanish 201...why? Ball State requires I take two semesters of a foreign language for a political science major...WHY? I may sound repetitive but I ask why a lot. I mean honestly, I get it...this country is a melting pot and we have more and more Mexican-Americans each year but that doesn't mean I should HAVE to take a foreign language. You know what, maybe all these immigrants and illegal aliens should learn English. In no way shape or form am I being rude or disrespectful I am just speaking the truth. This is AMERICA...OUR country. They should learn to speak OUR language. I could understand if my major was SPANISH...but no, it's POLITICAL SCIENCE...I have ranted enough.

Farewell President George W. Bush...
Tomorrow we will all say goodbye to the man who has led this country now for the past eight years. There are many people who have mixed feelings about President Bush or how America and the world will remember his legacy. I personally believe President Bush was not a bad President as everyone seems to think. His time in office will undoubtedly be marked by September 11th, the Wars on Terror and Iraq, and Hurricane Katrina. I think it's important to remember September the 11th occurred just 7 months into Bush's first term. Looking back from then till now we all wanted revenge, we all felt fear, we all wanted war. Bush kept us on the offensive and acted quickly and decisively against our enemies. Although I may not agree with how the wars were fought towards the end of his presidency, I do believe we had valid causes and reasons to fight the wars in the first place. After September the 11th we foiled over 20 different other terror plots against our country...mere coincidence? I don't think so. Bush kept us on the offensive and was aggressive in attacking our enemies and defending our country. Were we attacked again after September 11th? No. And as for Hurricane Katrina kicking off Bush's second term in office...he responded quickly with urgency. For people out there to believe the Bush administration didn't do as much as they could to help the people of New Orleans, that is completely insane. Those people were warned COUNTLESS times to get out and they chose to stay...so that's Bush's fault? No. Overall I have a hard time with all the Bush bashers out there who don't truly appreciate what the man had to go through and all that he did for our country. I will truly miss President Bush and bid him a very fond farewell...
